1. Guiding principles
We act exclusively on behalf of identified rights-holders or their authorized representatives. We do not enforce against parodies, criticism, news reporting, research or any other use that, in our reasonable assessment, falls within the scope of fair use, fair dealing or any equivalent statutory exception applicable in the relevant jurisdiction. Each enforcement action is the outcome of a documented workflow that combines automated detection, human verification and senior attorney review.
2. Scope of protection
The VIVIROS Platform is designed to detect and act upon unauthorized reproduction, public performance, communication to the public, distribution and adaptation of Protected Content. Typical use cases include live sports broadcasts, theatrical releases, OTT exclusives, music catalogs, gaming assets and educational materials. Trademarks, design rights and personality rights are addressed through separate workflows under our Brand Protection service line.
3. Authors' and rights-holders' rights
Authors and rights-holders may submit claims at any time through the dedicated portal made available to enterprise customers, or by contacting [email protected]. We treat these submissions as confidential and provide a written acknowledgement within one business day. Where a third party has filed a notice in error against your content, we will support you in preparing a response and, if necessary, in escalating the matter with the receiving platform.
4. Enforcement process
Each enforcement action is the result of a four-step workflow:
- Detection — automated fingerprint, metadata and behavior analysis identifies a potential infringement.
- Verification — a VIVIROS analyst reviews the evidence and confirms ownership against the customer’s catalog.
- Notification — the appropriate notice is generated and sent to the relevant platform, hosting provider or CDN.
- Reporting — the result is logged in the customer’s dashboard with full evidence and chain of custody.
5. Counter-notices and disputes
Where a recipient of a takedown notice files a counter-notice or dispute, we evaluate the response in the light of applicable law and the customer’s instructions. We may withdraw, maintain or escalate the original notice. If the matter cannot be resolved at the platform level, we coordinate with the customer’s legal team to assess litigation, alternative dispute resolution or commercial settlement.
6. Use of artificial intelligence
Our detection ensemble uses transformer-based models for vision, audio and metadata analysis. Models are trained exclusively on lawfully acquired datasets, customer-provided reference assets and synthetic data created in-house. We do not use Protected Content for purposes other than performing the Services, and we do not enable model outputs that would reproduce copyrighted works.
7. Reporting infringement against your works
If you believe your work is being infringed and you wish to engage VIVIROS, write to [email protected] with a description of the work, the URLs of the alleged infringement and proof of ownership. We will respond within one business day with the next steps and an estimated timeline.
